INTIMATE COLLABORATIONS.
THE BARE BODY OF PERFORMANCE IN UK AND IN RUSSIA
Drawings based on the exhibition by MANUEL VASON and Russian performance artists
held at Solyanka State Gallery, Moscow. 20 september – 1 november
Intimate Collaborations explores the ‘intimate’ relationship between performance and photography, the action
and the image. The photographic image together with the seven performances held the first week were intended to become an intimate space of encounter between the viewer and the artists practice.
The Drawings were done in direct contact with the performers and in front of M.Vason’s exhibited photographs. They create a bridge between both and transform them into an unifying whole.
